From the start, we will introduce the basics of algebra and geometry, and use and develop these ideas throughout the year. We’ll use visual and hands-on demonstrations when possible. We’ll also discuss the history of mathematics, and the ways math is encountered outside of the classroom. This class will be tailored to the abilities of the students. There will be homework each week, and doing it will be essential to each student’s progress. This class will have an additional required 30-minute Zoom session each week.
