Fall 2025 Sept. 11, 18, 25; Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30; Nov. 6, 13, 20; Dec. 4,11 (12 days) No Class 10/2 Yom Kippur, 11/27 Thanksgiving Fee: $420+$40 material fee (Sibling 1 $400 +$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $375+$40 material fee) Winter 2026 Thursday: Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26; Mar. 5, 12, (10 days) Fee: $350 + $40 material fee per term (Sibling 1 $325+$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $300+$40 Spring 2026 March 20th, 27th April 3rd, 10th, 23rd, 30th May 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th (10 days) (No Class April 17th Spring Break) Fee: $350 + $40 material fee per term (Sibling 1 $325+$40 material fee, Sibling 2 $300+$40 Class Description: Students engage with dynamic content including: self-paced Italic handwriting workbook; practical English grammar from discussion of great children’s literature read aloud; copy-work and/or dictation from the literature for supported self-correction in class; narration as a comprehension tool; Latin & Greek roots as a game; memory work using famous poetry and writing poetry of our own! We always have room for questions, and have a few projects involving the history of language and of written language as art. The class atmosphere has an organic sense of peer mentorship. There will be room for social interaction. We always start with a check-in circle. Each child has a chance to share. The class has a comforting structure, and plenty of variety to keep it snappy. We wrap with some chat time for the kids to connect with each other. Language is a social tool, so we practice it by being social.
