Fall 2023 Sept. 15th, 22nd, 29th, Oct. 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Nov. 3rd,10th, 17th Dec. 1st, 8th (12 days ) (No Class Friday Nov. 25th Thanksgiving Break) Fee: $360+ $ 40 material fee per term Winter 2024 Jan. 12th, 19th, 26th Feb. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd March 1st, 8th, 15th (10 days) Fee: $300 + $40 material fee per term Spring 2024 March 22nd, April 5th, 12th, 19th May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, June 7th (10 days) (No Class March 29th Good Friday, No Class April 25th Spring Break) Fee: $300 + $40 material fee per term Class Description: In this class we will read novels, poetry and short stories from classical and modern literature around the world. Students will participate in group discussion and analysis of the read material. We will observe the effect of the culture, society and times the author has lived in and is writing about. We will delve into historical and cultural events that may have influenced the author and their writing. Students will be asked to keep a journal and turn in written observation of the read material.
