Fall 2023/24 Sept. 11th, 18th, 25th Oct. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Nov. 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Dec. 4th Saturday Rehearsals: (10am to 2pm) Oct. 21st, Nov. 18th Fall Production Week Monday Dec. 11th - Sunday Dec. 17th (Performances Dec. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th) Fee: $475 + $50 Winter 2024 Jan. 8th, 22nd, 29th Feb. 5th, 12th 19th, 26th March 4th, 11th (9 days) (No Class Jan 15th Martin Luther King day) Fee: $475+$50 Spring 2024 March 18th, 25th April 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th May 6th, 13th, 20th (9 days) (No Class April 22nd spring break) (Performance Showcase Sunday May 19th) Fee: $475+$50 Class Description: This class will be a two part class. The first term we will read and perform three American one act plays written by American master playwrights. The winter and spring terms will be a directors intensive. The students will learn and use basic director skills such as; blocking, character building, production design, creating a theme, and compiling a director’s book. There will be a performance at the end of the fall and spring terms. The fall term performance will be a one act festival the spring term performance will be student directors show case. There is a break between each High School class. High School aged DD students are welcome to use the teen/teacher lounge and waiting area to eat, socialize, do home work etc. between classes. This is for high school students only. Students in the lower grade classes need to be registered in our Down Time Program or picked up immediately after their class is completed.
