Acting Out Literature

Service Description

Each week students in this class will explore literature through creative drama, movement, and improvisation. We will use classical children’s literature and poetry to inspire our creative endeavors. Projects will also include working with props, costumes and set pieces to make literature come alive. There will be a presentation at the end of the fall term and the end of the spring term. Students in this class will have two productions a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. For the fall production Acting Out Jr. Mainstage, Acting Out Modern Masters, Acting Out Lit and Acting Out a Musical will combine their talents for a Variety show on Dec. 19th. If you sign your child up for our morning and afternoon classes on the same day we recommend you sign them up for the Down Time program. All students not in the program will need to be picked up and taken off premises by their parent or guardian and brought back for the next class. Due to insurance regulations our Down Time Staff cannot escort or care for a child who is not in the program.
