In Acting Out a Musical’s Fall Term we will dive into acting scenes and monologues, solo songs and group numbers! The fall semester will culminate into a beautiful showcase where we will collectively get to show off some of what we will have worked on! This class gives us a chance to work on individual skills and work one on one in a workshop setting. You will explore new artistic horizons in a creatively free and supportive environment where we encourage each other to be brave and explore what theater means as an individual and ensemble. Ever dreamed of starring in the original cast of a musical? This is your lucky year. Our very own Mary Albert and Omar Camps-Kamrin are writing another Original Musical! Our Winter and Spring terms will include rehearsing this new work and being in the Original Cast and performing in the world premier run of this piece! The end of term will culminate in a full production of this Original Musical! Students will have the opportunity to sing, laugh, dance and tread the boards with friends and two of the hottest new directors in town. They will also have input on the creative process (including sets and costumes) as well as grow as collaborators and as performers! All experience levels are welcome!
