One of the nice things about fall is seeing our friends and catching up on summer adventures. Bring a refreshment, bring a friend and find a comfy place to sit.  Have your children zoom in on another device to join Jr. Party break out rooms.  There will be games and fun for all ages.

Around the World and Beyond
Tinamarie Panyard

STUDENT AGES 9-12

 

Get a sneak peek into our exploration of that land beyond Turtle Island (find out where Turtle Island is) Parents and students are welcome to zoom in and spend time with Tinamarie and get a sense of traveling our glode through stories, maps, music video and great conversations.

Civics

STUDENT AGES 12 - 15 

 

What is a more perfect union?  Why is our right to vote is so important. How does a bill become a law?  Who are the people who are elected to represent us?  In this sample class, Brandon will give you a sense of how he will tackle these questions and more.

Pop Art online with   
Michael Albert

ALL AGES

 

Grab some glue, scissors, a piece of cardboard and eat the cereal out of the Captain Crunch box. We will cut, talk, make and create with Pop Artist Michael Albert. Michael has been making art since his college days.  Now he can be found in libraries, community centers and galleries around the country, the world and zooming into your living room.

Art History
Leontine Greenberg

STUDENT AGES 1 -15

 

Linear perspective (making things smaller as they get further away) was an invention of the Renaissance. Before that, how did people decide where things went in a painting or drawing? We'll make a quick survey of art history (with stops in ancient Egypt, medieval europe, 18th-century Japan and modern-day video games) to find out.

The Roc

STUDENT ALL AGES 

 

Grab a bucket full, or at least a few hundred Legos or forty Duplo Legos and join us as we explore thinking like engineers! We'll have blast building together with all kinds of Legos, but if possible, also bringing Technic Lego pieces like Bricks, Beams and Plates with Holes, Gears, Axles, and Bushings and Pegs will be really great too
