North American Literature
9:00am - 10:30am Ages 14-18
Students will delve into American Literature with a holistic focus including genres such as: Native American oral tradition stories, poetry, American folklore, short stories, novels and graphic novels. We will follow how American literature is influenced by colonialism, slavery and the migration of people from cultures around the world. Like America itself our literature is a melting pot of ideas, iconic characters, mythology, heroes and voices. There will be weekly reading and writing assignments as well as class discussions.
