The benefits are enormous: learning to write means learning to clarify and understand your own thoughts as well as learning to sympathize with others. We’ll practice several types of writing, starting with journals and letters and moving to descriptive writing and explanatory writing. We’ll write historical and fictional narratives as well as persuasive essays. We’ll read examples of different types of writing so we know what we are trying to do.
