Fall 2023 Sept. 13th, 20th, 27th Oct. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Nov. 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th Dec. 6th (12 days) (No Class Wednesday Nov. 22d Thanksgiving Break) Fee: $360 Winter 2024 Jan. 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st Feb. 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th March 6th, 13th (10 days) Fee: $300 Spring 2024 March 20th, 27th April 3rd, 10th, 17th May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th (10 days) (No Class April 24th Spring Break) Fee: $300 Class Description: Stage combat is as old as theatre in the west- safe, realistic ways of ‘fake fighting’ have always been needed to enhance the drama on stage and screen. This stage combat class will begin with simple unarmed combat then move on to swords and other weapons, learning the basic footwork, six basic parries and a range of blade attacks, disengages, coupes and avoids. The techniques encourage students to work as a ‘team’, interact with a solid ‘buddy system’ to keep each other safe on stage and enhances acting and focus.
