EPC Jr. (Event Planning Committee Jr.)

Tinamarie Panyard 2:30pm - 4:00pm Ages 7-9/10-13

  • On Campus

Service Description

EPC Jr. is a weekly meetup designed to create a long term social outlet for homeschooling youth and their friends and family in our Different Directions community. EPC was created by a group of students who wanted to plan parties, movie nights and activities for their friends. They saw the teens going to parties and planning trips and they wanted to create something for themselves. Well those young people have now grown into teenagers and they are still planning cool events for themselves and their friends. It is time to expand EPC and plan parties, movie nights and trips for the new up and coming tweens. Once a week the students will meet to plan, hang out and socialize. In addition to the weekly meetup there is usually one movie night per month and three parties a year. The parties and movies are open for the larger homeschool community while the weekly sessions are for members only. Other events have included going to the theatre, park meetups and local field trips. Some of the events may be planned with the older EPC group. Money from the fees will be used toward funding the events and trips. The parties and events will be planned with the idea of inviting people from the larger DD and homeschooling community to participate. EPC Jr. members will be expected to attend the parties and events they host and create.
