Service Description

This project based astronomy class takes students on a journey around the cosmos. We will study the sky, trace the history of studying the sky to ancient times, research and read about current exploration and innovation in space and how our everyday life is connected to the sky, earth's atmosphere and cosmos. We will also make models of earth, the solar system, the moon and the cosmos. We will keep moon and sky journals, explore the stars with our very own Different Directions planetarium and visit the Rose Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. Students will also learn about the scientific method, cataloging, keeping journals and research. March 18th, 25th April 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th May 6th, 13th, 20th (9 days) (No Class April 22nd spring break) Fee: $315+$35
