Fall 2023 Sept. 14th, 21st, 28th Oct. 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th Nov. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th Dec.7th (12 Days) (No Class Thursday Nov. 23rd Thanksgiving) Fee: $450 + $50 material fee per term Saturday Rehearsals: (10am to 2pm) Nov. 4th, Dec. 2nd Fall Production Week Monday Dec. 11th - Sunday Dec. 17th (Performances Dec. 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th) Winter 2024 Jan. 11th, 18th, 25th Feb. 1st, 8th 15th, 22nd, 29th March 7th, 14th (10days) Fee: $375 + $50 material fee per term Spring 2024 March 21st, 28th April 4th, 11th, 18th May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th (10 days) (No Class April 25th Spring Break) Fee: $375 + $50 material fee per term Saturday Rehearsals: (11am to 1pm) April 13th, May 4th, May 11th (Production Week Monday June 3rd thru Sunday June 9th) (Acting Out Jr. Mainstage Performances Saturday June 8th (3pm), Sunday June 9th (12pm ) No Class April 6 & 13th Spring Break Class Description: Shakespeare wrote “All the World’s a Stage,” In Acting Out Mainstage Jr. our young actors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the joyful process of creating a world on stage. There will be something for everyone. Students will have the opportunity to participate in improv and acting games, perform in our two productions, act out monologues, and scenes, as well as work behind the scenes delving into their artistic side. They will work on researching and making props, costumes and sets, preparing for our performances. Students will be expected to do some homework. In class work and homework will include, reading, research, writing, project building, memorizing lines and class discussions. Our fall production will be a musical comedy The Pot Of Gold a modern take on an ancient Roman comedy by Plautis. The play was written by the 23/ Acting Out Jr. class with music written by Different Direction’s Composition class. The Spring production will be in June in coordination with our Mainstage Production. If you sign your child up for our morning and afternoon classes on the same day we recommend you sign them up for the Down Time program. All students not in the program will need to be picked up and taken off premises by their parent or guardian and brought back for the next class. Due to insurance regulations our Down Time.
