Summer is for fun, laughter, sunshine, parks, water and adventure.
Different Directions Summer Adventure Camp is also about music, storytelling, art and field trips.
Our morning sessions: art, music, water play, messy safe science experiments, yard games, leisure sports, open ended activities and lunch will be outside, in one of three great neighborhood parks near Different Directions.
We will move indoors to our air conditioned studio in the afternoon during the midday heat. Afternoon activities will include theatre games, improvisation, meditation, art, and movement, and storytelling.
Our in person summer camp will be COVID cautious. We will follow CDC and NYSDOH guidelines and recommendations including social distancing, wearing masks and heightened hand hygiene. Anyone with a fever or showing physical signs of illness will be sent home.
2021 Different Directions Adventure Summer Camp is geared for students ages 6 to 12.
We will meet Mondays through Thursday from 10am to 3pm. Drop off and pick up will be at our studio in Midtown Manhattan. The studio is close to A,C, E, B,D,F, 1,2 & 3 trains. We are also close to Port Authority and Metro North.
