Upper Elementary Math
12:30pm-2:00pm Mondays Ages 10-13
Topics covered will include use of currency to practice basic operations and decimals; creation and solving of word problems; geometric concepts; graphs and averages. The class is cumulative, so topics will build upon each other through the course of the fall, winter and spring semesters of Different Directions. The class will be compatible with state standards for NY and NJ. This class is intended as a support/supplement for your child's existing mathematics experience.

John Watson is a homeschooling dad of two girls, ages 10 and 17. He’s previously worked as a science educator at Liberty Science Center and in afterschool programs throughout NYC with elementary and middle school children.
