Upper Elementary Math
10:00am-11:30pm Wednesdays Ages 11 -14
Topics covered will include basic operations and decimals; creation and solving of word problems; geometric concepts; practicing use of currency; graphs and averages; fractions.
Specific material will be presented to all students together and subsequently, students will work on separate problems, geared to their individual requirements. Group word problems will also be provided towards the end of the class, in order to provide students with the opportunity to use their knowledge to solve real-world problems and strengthen their social skills.
I believe that anyone can master Math through proper teaching geared toward his/her specific needs and interests. I love to use real-life examples when presenting new material and I believe that any knowledge should be practical.
