Imaginative Writing

12:00pm-1:20pm Mondays     Ages 13-16

Whether you find creative writing easy or hard, this class is for you.

We’ll alternate between shorter and longer fiction assignments.  Sometimes we’ll finish an assignment in fifteen minutes, but other times we’ll take work home to rewrite, revise, and polish it.  Some of the “writing” during class will happen out loud in collaborative sessions.  We’ll discuss grammar and writing technique only if these issues come up in students’ work – the aim of this class is to help people feel comfortable writing.

Teacher: Joe Hatem

Joe Hatem will teach; he's worked on writing with students from 5 to 50 years old, including his two daughters.
